A plan for a complex of seven houses, which the client, running a business of rental properties in Hanegi, conceived after purchasing land for the first time. The site faces a small, narrow hill, and the frontage is also narrow and extends far back, which was a rather difficult shape for construction. Each multi-layered dwelling unit was planned as being split from top to bottom, like a watermelon, making the most of the volume available.
